Parish Council elections - 2 May 2019

Some of you may know that there is a Parish Council election every 4 years which coincides with the Borough Council election. However, there is only ever a contested election if there are more candidates than seats available.

Now is the chance for anyone who is interested in helping to continue the good work of the parish council by becoming a Parish Councillor. The process of getting nominated is simple and straightforward so almost anyone can 'Have a go'.

The following link will give you all the information you need and further information and guidance can be obtained from Electoral Services at NWLDC.

A link to all the information on the Electoral Commission website can be found here. These guidance packs can also be obtained from the Parish Council Clerk, Helen Chadwick.

NOTE That NWLDC will not be able to accept nomination papers until the Notice of Election has been published from the 22nd March (keep an eye-out form it on the Parish Council website and noticeboards).
